Aug 8, 2019 – When Dayspring Health opened its in-school clinic at Williamsburg Independent School District in August 2018, it set out to remove barriers like transportation and scheduling by bringing acute and chronic care—vaccines, screenings and urgent care—directly to students and staff Dayspring Health. In late July 2019, leaders from the Kentucky Department of Education and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services toured the facility and hailed the partnership as a “huge success” in expanding access to physical and mental health services for all students Dayspring Health. They also noted that a pending Medicaid “Free Care” amendment would let school districts bill federal funds for services offered free to every student, paving the way for similar clinics statewide Dayspring Health.
