Obstetric Care at Kentucky
How to get started?
Get your Pregnancy Test
- Come in to one of our clinics & confirm your positive pregnancy test!
- Our provider discusses your journey and initiates prenatal care.
- We schedule your "OB history" visit with a nurse.
Why is it important to check your medical history?
- We will review your medical history to identify any risk factors for your pregnancy.
Get your OB physical exam
- You will meet with one of our OB providers for your physical exam and each of your prenatal visits.
Ultrasound Timeline
- We confirm your due date after your OB physical.
- You will have another ultrasound around the 20th week to take a look at your baby's anatomy!
- You will be scheduled for another ultrasound in your 32nd week at Grace Health or London Women’s Care, depending on where you plan to deliver.
Ultrasound Availability
- We offer 3D/4D ultrasounds at our clinic in Jellico, TN
- Get an extra glimpse of your baby’s world!
How often do you make routine prenatal care visits?
- Approximately every 4 weeks until 28 weeks
- Approximately every 2 weeks from 28 to 32 weeks
Get ready to deliver your baby (In Corbin or London)
- We will transfer your care to Grace Health or London Women’s Care at 32 weeks.
What to expect in the 1st week after delivery:
Routine Postpartum Visit ~ 1 Week After Delivery
- We also want to begin newborn care at this time or sooner if indicated.
What to expect in the 6th week after delivery:
Routine Postpartum Visit ~ 6 Weeks After Delivery
