How to get started?
Get your Pregnancy Test
- Come in to one of our clinics & confirm your positive pregnancy test!
- Our provider discusses your journey and initiates prenatal care.
- We schedule your "OB history" visit with a nurse.
Why is it important to check your medical history?
- We will review your medical history to identify any risk factors for your pregnancy.
Get your OB physical exam
- You will meet with one of our OB providers for your physical exam and each of your prenatal visits.
Ultrasound Timeline
- We will do an ultrasound to confirm your due date after your OB physical.
- You will be scheduled for an ultrasound at UT in your 20th week to look at your baby’s anatomy.
- Another ultrasound will be scheduled in Jellico in your 32nd week to check on your baby’s growth.
Ultrasound Availability
- We offer 3D/4D ultrasounds at our clinic in Jellico, TN
- Get an extra glimpse of your baby’s world!
How often do you make routine prenatal care visits?
- Every 4 weeks until 28 weeks
- Every 2 weeks from 28 to 36 weeks
- Every week from 36 weeks until delivery
Get ready to deliver your baby (at UT)
- They will typically see you for 2 visits – once at 20 weeks and again around 36 weeks for a delivery consultation. The remainder of your prenatal visits will be with Dayspring.
What to expect in the 1st week after delivery:
Routine Postpartum Visit ~ 1 Week After Delivery
- We also want to begin newborn care at this time or sooner if indicated.
What to expect in the 6th week after delivery:
Routine Postpartum Visit ~ 6 Weeks After Delivery
