Larry Rector Named Interim CEO of Dayspring Health

Jellico, TN – The Board of Directors at Dayspring Health has unanimously voted to appoint Mr. Larry Rector as the interim CEO following Dr. Geogy Thomas’s decision to step down. Dr. Thomas will continue to serve as Chief Medical Officer and expressed his full confidence in Larry’s leadership, describing him as a good friend and fellow visionary.
Larry commented on his new role, saying, “I’m honored and excited for the opportunity to serve Dayspring Health as interim CEO. Dayspring has a long history of caring for this community, dating back to the 1970s. As we approach our 50th anniversary, I’m grateful to lead an organization known for its care for the community during its next chapter.”
With the upcoming opening of the new Dayspring Regional Health Center, surrounding communities will benefit from a convenient, one-stop-shop healthcare facility. This new center addresses the common issue of access to quality healthcare by providing a medical home with numerous services in one location. Additionally, Dayspring offers affordable care options, with visits costing as little as $10.
Since joining Dayspring Health in December 2018, serving as the COO and CFO, Larry has overseen the strategic use of a nearly $15 million operating budget, secured $16.5 million in New Market Tax Credits for the renovation of a 57,000 sq. ft. regional health center, and increased annual net revenue by $500,000 to $1.5 million through diversification of revenue sources. He has revitalized operations across all locations, to enhance both in-clinic and telehealth services across various medical disciplines.
